Wedding transport, finished

As I mentioned last week, Miss Monster and I will not be traveling between our wedding ceremony and our reception in usual ‘overpriced fancy pants car’ style, but instead are going to don a very special pair of bikes and cruise from one to the other.

Well this week, I finished my own Raleigh Chopper build (you can read about all of the alterations on my blog), and purchased Miss Monsters bike of choice. Initially, we’d both planned to be on Choppers, but I found something that I thought was much more her, a completely chromed lowrider.

After hours of painting, cleaning, fixing and replacing parts, polishing and generally making two very awesome bikes, they’re now ready for the big day this October; and all for under £200. The great thing is, we can also use them through the summer and after our wedding, so it’s not money thrown down the drain, and we have something really useful too. We just have to make sure we keep them very secure and well looked after, but when they look as beautiful as they do, we’re definitely going to be doing that.

So, what do you think?

About Andy Valentine

When I was young I dreamt of being a musician, but that didn't quite work out. Then I wanted to be an architect, then an artist, then a software designer, and most recently, a musician again. Somehow, as I approach the dreaded 3-0, I've managed to forge a life where I get paid to sing amplified nonsense at people and teaching others to do the same. It's awesome. This blog is a glimpse into my somewhat broken mind. Be afraid.
